Last year, Sony announced that it will offer settlements to anyone in North America who bought a PS Vita prior to June 1, 2012.
You are eligible to receive either a check for $25 (or a $25 credit on your PSN account) or a merchandise voucher, but not both.Alternatively, you are eligible to receive a merchandise voucher that you can use to select from a list of merchandise, video games and/or services. The selection of merchandise, video games and/or services that are available through this offer has a retail value of $50 or more.
The compensation follows complaints made regarding Sony’s promotion of PS Vita. Sony has not admitted that it falsely advertised PS Vita, the FTC ruled that some of its TV ads, promotional posters and videos had suggested that PS Vita would launch with features such as remote play and cross-save. These features weren’t added until much later.
