Update - It's official, Silent Hills is cancelled Says Konami in a statement to Kotaku:

Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued.

In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements.

A lot of Speculation was running around that the Silent Hills project may have been cancelled but it looks like Konami has issued a statement, confirming that Norman Reedus is no longer working on Silent Hills project, but not to worry because Silent Hills is still in development.

"our contract period with Reedus has expired," following the actor's claims on Twitter that the entire project has been axed.

Regarding those rumours, Konami wouldn't discuss the Silent Hills project specifically, but said: "We will continue to develop the Silent Hill series."
